Together, we'll find the words.

A note about Covid 19 and funerals

This is such a difficult time for anyone who's having to deal with the loss of a

loved one. If you're trying to arrange a funeral now, please do get in touch with me and I'll help you in any way I can.

Although social distancing restrictions are making funeral ceremonies very difficult, your loved one still deserves a loving and personal goodbye. Coronavirus restrictions may be stopping you from arranging the funeral you had imagined, but there are many creative possibilities for ways to mark and celebrate your loved one's life, both now and in the months to come.

Helping you get through a difficult day

When you suddenly have to live without someone you love, there's nothing anyone can say or do to take the pain away. There's no right way to feel or behave; all you can do is get through each day as best you can. And one of the first big hurdles to get past is the funeral.

No matter how hard it is to even think about having to have a funeral, many families feel that this is one last thing they can do for their loved one. And they want to get it just right. I can help you to do that.

A personal service

If you would like me to help you to plan, write and deliver a funeral ceremony for your loved one, then it would be my honour and privilege to work with you.

I will come to visit you at home - or meet you somewhere else if you'd prefer - to learn all I can about the person you're grieving for.

A celebration of life

A funeral led by a civil celebrant is an opportunity to come together and celebrate a life lived. Together we can build a ceremony that tells the story of your loved one's life and does full justice to how special and unique they were and how sorely they will be missed.

You're in control

I can work with you to help you plan every aspect of the ceremony. There are no rules about what should or shouldn't be said. You will be free to choose music and readings if you want them and you can choose whether to have prayers and hymns or to keep the ceremony entirely non-religious. You will always have complete control.

I will help you every step of the way - and I'll do everything within my power to make sure that you come away from the funeral feeling that you said what needed saying and you did your very best - for your loved one.

Your memories preserved

It can be hard for you to take everything in on the day of your loved one's funeral. You might find that afterwards, you can't remember a lot about what was said.  Because of this, I make beautiful keepsake books for all my clients to keep, containing the complete script of your funeral ceremony so that you can come back to it and read through everything that was said when you feel ready. Many of my families have told me how much they've appreciated having a book to return to so that all of the words and stories we've put so much effort into bringing together are kept safe for the years to come.
